Is this game stupidly unbalanced or just me?

Having fun so far but...

First quarter of the game I was an attack pure, focused only on attack and one-shot everything.
Half-way through the game I focused on buffing Fidget and used the flame balls to destroy everything onscreen.

A little bit past that I bought items that gave me over 9x multipliers on item drop.
Now I'm fully kitted out with totally not OP items that give me attack/defence buffs and literally take and deal ridiculous amounts of damage.

Is it just me or is it the game really unbalanced?
Thoughts please.

I found the game really easy. Even on my hard playthrough I didn't find it challenging at all.

Depends on the degree where you play those games. Some out there may find it hard on difficulty level normal. Some are rushing through it even at the most difficult setting. Well...in doubt you need to balance it downward or it is frustrating for most people.

Yeah, the game is pretty easy and not quite challenging. I think it wasn't meant to be hardcore at all, but beautiful, story-telling and fun to walkthrough. If you don't like being over-powered, you can always take off some of the items.

P.S. BTW, you can find/craft an item "Ugly Pendant", which multiplies all your stats by 0.1, making you a lot weaker. Maybe that will help you get some challenge.

I . . .. I found it hard. . . . On normal. . . . Aand I switched it to casual at the end T..T Though I suck at these games, I usually just play TF2 or strategy games.

The game is designed rather well to try and capture all ages' attention. The game can be very easy on the lower levels because it's an E10 game, and Dean clearly wanted to let younger kids and teens enjoy the game while still giving adults a challenge on the higher difficulties.

Find the difficulty that works best for you. It's not that hard to do.
