Both Valdis Story and Noitu Love 2: Devolution are awesome, the latter was made in Multimedia Fusion 4 though, so it's a little rough around the edges (but still worth it).

Brave Fencer Musashi, Viewtiful Joe, and my personal favorite, Kingdom Hearts. Rogue Galaxy is even better, and SSB as well as Dark Cloud. +_+

My favourite beat'em up were personnally Castle Crashers for coop and Dust : elysean tail for solo play.
