dat ending.
just... dat ending.
honestly, I cant believe i didnt get this game before the humble bundle.
and sequel?
as soon as I hear definite news about a sequel (which hopefully will come), i will throw my wallet in the direction I believe the dev(s) is/are. and I dont mean an empty wallet.
Personally my biggest question is 'who did General Gaius work for?' The whole realm is the kingdom of Falana, so it stands to reason there should be a King or Queen. Did Gaius work for him/her? Are there more Generals? I'd rather the story move forward and flesh out the world than give more attention to a good but admittingly simple story.
If you look through Dean's site, he had meant to make an animated film involving someone else wielding a Blade of Elysium, a mouse lady named Bonnie. He could turn the movie he planned into another game instead, but who knows.
I just know it won't be right away. Dean's doing contract work now, probably needing to take a break from his solo career. He's currently working as Lead Animator for the game Defender's Quest II.
General Gaius could have very well been the king,
it's just that he also goes by General since he is commanding an army.
Or alternately...
there is no king, and Gaius had no plans to become one,
Gaius is one of the most powerful swordsman in the game's world, (If not the most at that time.) because of that it wouldn't be to hard for him to form an army for wiping out the moonbloods, not to mention he would have great influence, and since he is the one in charge of the army, he got the title General.
I had no idea he is currently apart of the developer team for Defender's Quest II. Way cool!
They could also be re-releasing Dust: An Elysian Tail on Xbox One.
Fun fact: The king was going to play a more major role in the story, with a sixth arc/chapter. This got cut due to time constraints.
