A great game. Sequel anyone?
I really enjoyed this game. There are some shortcoming to this game, with the limited replayability, the repetative combat, the voice acting, the lack of the RPG elements, and the ending. Overall, these are just minor cpomplaints. Does anyone think this could be worthy of a sequel or a prequel?

In my oppinion, The game is worthy of a prequel. You have vauge clues of the historia of The elysian tails and the moonbloods If there was a game on the childhood of Jin that could be a good prequel.
The only thing Jin did was lose his family and kill Cassius.

That is given that all Jin is known for was kill Cassius. but here is a thought, Jin was a boy who for whatever reason had training in martial arts and full-scale combat. How exactally did Jin know how to fight? Even better, how the Hell did Jin defeat Cassius? Cassius was General Giausus's right-hand man. He was obviously very powerful and this could lead to a good prequel.
Cassius was ludicrously proud (due to his spectacular skill), which led to him getting killed too. As far as skills go Cassius > Jin, hands down. Dust was formed from the two b/c the Moonbloods needed Cassius's combat ability, but needed to temper it with Jin's kindness. If Jin was awesome enough to kill Cassius without insane amounts of luck, they wouldn't need Cassius' soul.
A sequel may in fact be coming, since Humble Hearts has signed up for Xbox One's Indie Program. http://news.xbox.com/2014/02/xbox-one-id-xbox-new-developers

Personally my biggest question is 'who did General Gaius work for?' The whole realm is the kingdom of Falana, so it stands to reason there should be a King or Queen. Did Gaius work for him/her? Are there more Generals? I'd rather the story move forward and flesh out the world than give more attention to a good but admittingly simple story.

If you look through Dean's site, he had meant to make an animated film involving someone else wielding a Blade of Elysium, a mouse lady named Bonnie. He could turn the movie he planned into another game instead, but who knows.

I just know it won't be right away. Dean's doing contract work now, probably needing to take a break from his solo career. He's currently working as Lead Animator for the game Defender's Quest II.

General Gaius could have very well been the king,
it's just that he also goes by General since he is commanding an army.
Or alternately...
there is no king, and Gaius had no plans to become one,
Gaius is one of the most powerful swordsman in the game's world, (If not the most at that time.) because of that it wouldn't be to hard for him to form an army for wiping out the moonbloods, not to mention he would have great influence, and since he is the one in charge of the army, he got the title General.

I had no idea he is currently apart of the developer team for Defender's Quest II. Way cool!

Something you seemed have all missed, there was a post on face book by the creator himself included with an interview he had, turns out an entire THIRD of this game was cut due to time limits MIcrosoft put on him. So a sequel wouldn't be a far stretch since it was to be continued anyways. ANOTHER thing is how Fidget mentions there being FIVE weapons like the one Dust has. Though never mention all being blades only as "weapons" If I remember the dialog right. SO tons of open room for more of this world. :D

He mentions a king in the final fight. The campaign is over, but the job isn't yet finished. Dust and Fidget could probably journey to the capitol, visit the city (maybe learn what caused the Moonblood racism), storm the castle (a techno-magical castle, just to solidify the Castlevania connections), and confront the king in a fiery climatic showdown to the death. Also, the king is basically a more interesting version of Dracula, so it all balances out.

Oh, I didn't catch that part. Good to know!

The developer is definitely thinking of a sequel, but is being very coy about it.

They could also be re-releasing Dust: An Elysian Tail on Xbox One.

Fun fact: The king was going to play a more major role in the story, with a sixth arc/chapter. This got cut due to time constraints.
