Mouse input issue

I'm having this really strange problem where any input from the mouse seems to stutter, to the point where it's pretty unplayable. It's a logitech M510 (I think. It's one of the middle line wireless mice series) It's very oddly inconsistant now, but I'm going to come back to this game later.

Update: I am indeed getting it with half life 2 ep: 1. I'm not sure what's causing it, but it seems to get worse when I play with the mouse settings.

This problem has also started to occur with other fps games. Perhaps my drivers need updating or something. I don't know, maybe my mouse needs new batteries.

change mouse polling rate to 500 worked for me
