I liked it but it wasn't outstanding. The 6-direction gravity in the playing field is good. The various versions in mini games are good. Its match 3, but the ability to push the board in six directions with the hex tiles makes it feel fresh.
I don't like the ship movement and avoiding constant patrols (with the mouse) in enemy systems. The overhead galaxy map has flashing planets that don't tell you whether they have a quest to complete there or a quest to pick up. It make traveling a pain. How easy would it be to put in hover text... or even NEW flashing over the corner of planet with more quests instead of places to complete the ones you have.
Everything in Galactrix feels so slow and unresponsive. Its just generally sluggish. I prefered Puzzle Quest Kingdoms for this reason. However I did like it, and I can still recommend it. I have enjoyed it.
