How do I get my money back, I cannot play a game that turns my computer off!

It most likely isnt AC causing this, I had this happen to me a couple of years ago, it starts with the "high demand" titles your playing then works its way down.. in my case it was temprature of the chip sockets etc even though it wasnt overly hot they were breaking down.

This is a fairly new computer and I play all the latest games without any problem at all, I was just in the beta for ESO

LoD eats memory worse than any other game. are you using a laptop? they are more prone to this sort of thing. anyways, you cant get your money back, steam doesnt give refunds normally. and the devs of the game will just pretend you dont exist.

also, shutting someones PC down eh? damn thats a new one.

Hardly a new thing.. often caused by overheating.
My 7970 fan also feels a bit more noisy than usual with this game.

aya, I had this problem with some games on my old PC. I meant it was a new thing with this game. people have lots of well founded complaints, but I hadnt heard of anyones computer actually shutting itself down in protest. makes it look like even our computers dont want to run LoD.

This computer is less than a year old, I am a gamer, it shouldn't take a hit like this , am having no problems playing other new mainstream AAA games.

your right, your PC should not take a hit like that. thats one of the many problems with this game. my PC is also quite young. it also runs other high impact games with no problem what so ever. LoD uses up memory so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quickly, and every patch they release in which they claim to have improved that problem, doesnt actually fix it to any significant degree. Its a shoddily thrown together game with memory consumption greater than any other game ive ever played. there's a good game in there somewhere, and I will be so relieved when the mod tools come out, that way people with real developing skills can fix the most glaring issues.

what I just realized was more startling to me was that the game didnt simply crash before your computer shut down. thats what mine does, usually about 20 minutes after booting up.

saltmummy626, please if you can, send me (after your game crash) log file (lod/logs), on support@dreamatrix.net

now your asking for a crash log? I had my memory crash problems awhile ago, before I uninstalled the game.

I demand nothing, but offer help. I got the impression that you need help with the game because you're still here and you comment often.

I do comment often and I do complain a lot, but as you say I am still here. I probably wouldn't be if I didnt see some kind of potential here. It just needs a bit of work.

We are planning to patch LOD1 continuously (2013,2014...), but it devours a lot of time and sometimes we are not able to respond immediately. We have a (todo) list with all the individual problems or suggestions that have appeared here or on the forum.
