So how is the game currently.

Bought the game in its first months, the amount of amazing potential this game had me seeing stars. Then I had crashes little to no playability. I really hope that this game takes off. Has the game gotten any better?

not really. memory consumption has been improved and some of the smaller bugs were fixed, but most of it is still there. they have another patch planned, but who knows when that will come out. the last one was promised by the end of the month it was announced in but didnt come out until well after that time had passed.

A lot of the problems are fixed in my opinion but the gameplay itself is lack luster. Its not an action rpg so when when/if you play it keep that in mind.

The inventory system with the all the runes is probably the most annoying issue in the game that I've run across so far. Since runes and keys take up space in your limited inventory it'll start to drive you a bit batty re-stacking items to make space. If you can get passed that then its not bad so far.

I'm only a half a dozen quests into the game so maybe it'll get better. I started a new character after patch 1.10 was released.

I like the way they handled spell creation but faith (mana in this game) regeneration is painfully slow.

The game still looks bad. Still runs bad. We havn't seen a patch in six months. And the whole thing appears to have been abandoned.

been waiting for a 75% sale since there's soooo MANY negative reviews...............I wonder when the next patch is.
From video's this game looks good but it freaks me out how many negatives are on the store page.

Those negative reveiws exist for a reason. mostly its becuase it was a promising game that was executed very poorly. id wait for a 90% off sale, you really want to pay as little as possible for this game.

Buy Divinity : Original Sin, the dev has abandoned this game, the reviews for this game are spot one. Stay away!

They said a new patch is coming 5 days ago on Kickstarter, but nothing yet.

BTW, many who pledged are STILL waiting for physical rewards and the developers have constantly led them on with 'soon... soon... soon' remarks (check Kickstarter comments).

Latest promise, most likely to be broken, is "probably before July 18".
