Can't see mouse pointer in-game.
System: Windows 7 x64 (AMD Radeon)

Problem: In Tropico 3, the mouse pointer is invisible.

My Solution: Disable "Pointer Trails" for your cursor in Windows.
- Control Panel/ Hardware and Sound/ Mouse/ Pointer Options

I was initially having this problem, but resolved it myself after a twenty minute break from the computer.

It's a bit dissapointing that a desktop variable can affect gameplay in such a way.

Hey,

please make sure your graphic card driver is up to date.
You can also install NetFramework 4.5.

This didn't work in my case, only disabling the desktop pointer trails made a difference.

If you are having problems with a Steam copy of a game, we generally
advise the following:

Select 'My Games' from the Steam main window.
Right-click on your game.
Choose 'Properties'.
Select 'Check Integrity of Game Cache' from the 'Local Files' tab.
(Delete the game's folder in your Steamapps folder - only if the integrity check did not fix the problem).
