Shadowrun Returns
Frustration level increasing
I played the Dead Man Switch campaign, loved it, and haven't been able to play since the unity update. The game immediately crashes and a pop-up says "Opps! The game crashed. It would be great to send this to the developers". I read about people having similar issues and assumed it would be fixed by now, months later.

I still can't play it. I have about 50 crash report log files and no idea where to send them.

So I played some other games, and then bought Space Hulk. Same exact issue as Shadowrun. Tried many many things and have 25 crash repots. I'm beyond frustrated at this
point. I tried to post on the Unity forums but apparently have to pay in order to post on their forums. Here is a sample of my error message.

Things that will help you get your issue solved:

-Including the error log for Shadowrun, not Space Hulk

-Listing the 'many many things' you tried (if you don't put the effort forward to even list the things you tried, what makes you think anyone else will?)

-NOT assuming that your issue is going to be noticed and fixed without being proactive.

-Basic troubleshooting: isolate the variables. Did you try running as an admin? Did you reinstall? Clear cache(s)? Reboot? Create a new user and install under that one?

These are all simple things that will help narrow down the issue. A Windows installation is an undecipherable mess after a year or two of use. Wipe drive, reinstall Windows. It takes about 10 minutes of hands-on time and about an hour of waiting. Anyone who doesn't see this as an acceptable part of computing should consider finger paints or crayons instead.
Wiredgutter,

I would like to encourage you to try the basic troubleshooting that can find here: shadowrun-returns.wikispaces.com/Troubleshooting+FAQ

If you are still unable to solve your issues then please contact our customer support at info@hbs-studios.com and attach your most recent crash files generated by Shadowrun Returns.
I was in the act of editing my post on Tuesday when Steam when into maintenance. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, redownloading, run as admin, verifying cache, even defraging and error checking my hard drives. Basically everything a computer layman can do without running the risk of messing things up further.

Everytime, without even getting a black screen, the game crashes with a "Opps the game crashed" tab and pops out a crash file, which I will send to the listed address. Thank you for the response.

P.S. Whats wrong with fingerpaint and crayons exactly? They are just as much an art medium as computers.
