Release 1.2.4 contains a variety of Dragonfall and Dead Man's Switch campaign fixes and general system improvements. If you are encountering any campaign issues in Dragonfall, please update to build 1.2.4 immediately. (To update, restart Steam and then allow Shadowrun Returns to fully verify and download the new build.)

If you are experiencing a campaign-related issue, you may also need to restart your current scene (select "Restart Level" from the PDA) in order to resolve the issue.

RELEASE NOTES 1.2.4
New Features, Improvements
  • Chinese language added for Dead Man's Switch!
  • Adding ability for item prerequisites to check for race.
  • Can evaluate a decker’s jack in point and a persona’s spawn point with Compare Prop and Get Matrix Prop
  • "Auto" Injector costs 1 AP to use. Reduced to 0 AP to match other buff cyberware abilities.

General Bugfixes
  • Fixed issue with Shadowrunner AIs becoming player controlled on reload of triggered autosaves and quicksaves.
  • Fixing issue where loading waypoints spawned before all characters are loaded, causing edge case load fail.
  • Fixing issue where prerequisites weren't being checked every time equipment change happened, added popup notification when item prerequisites are no longer met.
  • Fixed issue where multi-shot weapons would have unexpected spread when target died before attack finishes.
  • Fixing transparency issues with some outfits.
  • Fixing issue where a duckling NPC could fill an empty hiring spot.
  • Fixing issue causing players to 'lose' an outfit to a previous outfit.

Dragonfall Campaign
  • Fixed issue causing talking Drones in the False Flag mission.
  • Cleaning up goals surrounding optional objectives in the MKVI mission.
  • Unreachable interactions are now disabled in the MKVI mission.
  • Cleaning up goals surrounding optional objectives in the Sewers mission.
  • Added a new autosave to the False Flag mission.
  • Polish to subway entrance/exit.
  • Disabling NPCs when they have no new conversations.
  • Fixing issue causing mission success toast to appear more than once during Bloodline mission.
  • Fixing issue causing hacked cameras to follow you through the teleport in MKVI mission.
  • Fixed issue causing second Decker’s Persona to be trapped when jacking into Matrix in APEX Rising mission.
  • Fixed issue causing double interaction needed to leave from False Flag mission.
  • Fixed issue allowing player to get second copy of mission item after completing objective in APEX Rising mission.
  • Glory personal story progression fix. Story variables added for Glory progression.
  • Fixing issue causing optional objective to fail prematurely in Humanis mission.
  • Fixed issue causing conversation inconsistency in APEX Rising mission.
  • Fixed issue where Decker could not interact with mission specific interaction in APEX Rising mission.
  • Updating grenades to be unusable by Dante.

Dead Man's Switch Campaign
  • Fixing issue preventing hiring list from correctly populating for Telestrian Industries mission
  • Fixed an issue preventing Shannon Half-Sky from being hired for Mercy Mental mission.
  • Fixed an issue preventing Coyote from being hired for Telestrian Industries mission.

RELEASE NOTES 1.2.3

General
  • Safeguards to prevent a black screen when attempting to start a new game with certain out-dated user-generated content installed.
  • Fixed an issue where certain non-touch enabled devices could incorrectly display the "Touch" input option on the Options screen.
  • Fixed an issue with the Quicksave feature that could in some cases cause conversation triggers to fail to fire.

Dragonfall Campaign
  • Fixed an issue where it was possible to skip viewing the final epilogue screen of the game depending on choices made during the campaign.
  • Fixed an issue where it was possible to release the Basilisks in the Loose Ends mission after opening Thorvald's cell, skipping conversation with this NPC.
  • Fixed an issue with looping animations that could cause a game crash when using drones or spirits in the final encounter of the game.
  • Fixed a bug with Blitz's personal dialogue progression, where it was possible to incorrectly receive an email related to his story.
  • Fixed a small issue where some conversation cases failed to give the player the locker combination in the False Flag mission.
  • Small fixes to Dietrich's personal dialogue progression.
  • Various minor fixes to conversation skill checks, NPC appearance & naming issues, and a couple nuyen price mismatch issues.
  • A handful of cosmetic writing fixes.

Dead Man's Switch Campaign
  • Fixed a potential blocker in the first scene of the Universal Brotherhood. (Use of the Quicksave feature could cause your runners to not properly join your team after letting them in the side door.)
  • Fixed an edge-case blocker in the second scene of the Universal Brotherhood. (A team with several drones could cause Marie Louise to fail to properly path to her destination.)


RELEASE NOTES 1.2.2

Release 1.2.2 contains a variety of Dragonfall campaign fixes for certain edge-case progression issues in the game.

  • OSX: Removed the display of "development build" text at the top of the screen on OSX.
  • Linux: Fix to a Linux folder name capitalization issue that could cause content packs to fail to load on some machines.
  • Fixed a condition where it was possible to receive incorrect responses to letting Volker Stahl live in the "False Flag" mission.
  • Fixed an edge-case where it was possible to receive incorrect team responses to Alexander dying in the second scene of the "False Flag" mission.
  • Fixed a rare case that could cause player's team to fail to follow them out of the offices in the "MKVI" mission.
  • Fixed an issue with the mercenary decker Alnur being unable to meet the hiring requirements for the "Bloodlines" mission.
  • Fixed a rare issue where the player could end up not being able to exit the Aztechnology facility in the "Bloodlines" mission.
  • Fixed an issue that could arise if the player did the Sewers mission immediately before meeting with Frau Muller in the Kreuzbasar.
  • Improved communication on how to accept the "Bloodlines" mission.
  • Minor logic fixes to Glory's dialogue progression in the safehouse.
  • Fix to an edge-case sequencing issue in the "Hard Times" mission.
  • Minor cosmetic conversation bugfixes.

I think I've stumbled upon a fresh bug caused in 1.2.4.

For the mission where you return to the docks with Shannon Half-Face, instead of my own character, I am presented with the following in the screen where you outfit your runners:

Shannon_Half-Face_Avatar

When loading into the docks my character is replaced by this avatar and all of my skills are linked to that of Shannon rather than my own characters skills.

I tried rewinding and encountered the problem again. Loading an older save from before the release of 1.2.4 gives the same issue.

Hello!

I have a strange bug with biggest ley line nodes.

First of all, my machine may not the best, but this game runs quite fine all the time.

Sometimes, if my PC (magesham) is sitting on biggest ley lines, my computer gets really slow everytime then its my PC turn. Other characters can use biggest ley lines without any problems, just if my PC sit on them for at least one turn, the game gets really really slow.
The game do not crash, and I can continue normally if after some waiting I eventually manage to leave the big ley line.

Isn't such a big issue, because I can just ignore big ley lines, but they support the nice 60 dmg flamethrower crits :(.

Can someone tell me is it just me or the aiming system in the Dragonfall campaign is totally screwed? I mean I missed 3 shots in a row where the hit probability was 76% and then proceed to miss 3 more with 81% probability to hit... In a row. I even managed to miss 99% probability to hit, although only one time but that's something.
76% to hit is still a 24% to miss. Sometimes you just get bad rolls. Ive had it happen to myself. But I dont think theres anything going on or at least not that I noticed prior to 1.2.4.

Curse the Gods of probablity and the random number generator.

Just played through a UGC and the aiming seemed pretty solid.
Dunno. I played Dead man's switch without saves. It was a solid playthrough, no problems encountered. It was a couple of months ago. Then I bought Dragonfall and it is impossible to play without saves - missing 3, 6 times of 70+% is usual, it happens all the time. So I'm savescamming because my characters can't hit a thing even in best conditions. Missing 1 shot that has 76% possibility to hit is 24%, that's correct but missing 3 in a row is 0,24*0,24*0,24=0,013824 which is 1,3824% probability. And it happens to me all the time. Statistically I can't be THAT unlucky.

Since the latest download has occurred I can no longer load my save games without my character being replaced by a NPC. Hugely frustrating, would like to know if a fix is on the way soon or how to get my moneyback.

I just started the mission to extract Saada, though I hired no extra crew, but when I enter the place I have a duplicate of my own character with '_avatar' after its name.
Double thumbs up, and keep up the excellent support.

I missed not one, but THREE 99% shots over the course of the entire campaign. While there's no reason to suspect foul play from RNG, it's still kind of weird.
"Gay Dice" rule:

You always remember missing a 99% but never complain about hitting a 1%, if you ever take that shot. Yet they always kind of seem to even out in the end.
I have done APEX RISING and going to do RETURN TO HARFELD.
But when the loading screen is done for RETUYRN TO HARFELD my character have become the character I choose for the mission first.
So its Eiger, Blitz or Dietrich. Lets say I choose Blitz first for the mission then my character is Blitz then Blitz becomes Blitz_avatar.
Tried diffrent save games but still my character gets switched out?!?!?!

HBS gets in to work in a few hours, they'll see this pretty quickly. I'm hoping they'll have a rollback or fix later today.
Is anyone NOT getting the avatar bug?
