ARE YOU KIDDING ?
I don't know how you define 'useless' but typically I reserve that for aesthetic DLC (costumes, colors, etc).
Dragonfall adds a new camapaign that's more open world than the original and a slew of new features.
If you think about it. People who gave thier own money on kickstarter 30,50,100$+ now have to pay again. It's not fair.
it should be 5$
Keep getting a reach around? This is the first DLC they're offering, and just happens to be downloadable content because the ENTIRE GAME IS DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT.

Expansions typically require a base game to play.
They did *not* "make" extra money before it was released, all of that money is supposed to towards game development.
So the game did well on kickstarter, and now they're making profits. Oh noes! They had better give us everything for free now, because they were such a huge success, right?
QFT. This here is Sig worthy.
Furthermore you think game devs release games solely for the love of it? LOL they have families need to feed too and other bills (things you only learn about once you move out into the real world). Yes they do intent to actually make money on it. That is how it is supposed to be. There is nothing wrong with it. They aren't screwing over customers the way Planetary Annihilation was attempting. Stop complaining about nothing.
Expansion not DLC - although it does come as a download. From the perspective the original game was DLC. This apparently adds expanded capabilities from the engine itself as well as a professional campaign utilizing the improvements.
And yes the fan made campaigns therefore get a boost as well - the ones made for the expansion that is. So not so useless.
And it is only $15. Even if that is not so far from the cost of the original, it still is not that much money at all. Show me how many games offer an expansion for $15. So go complain elsewhere, spend your money elsewhere, and/or wait until it goes on some sort of sale if your mommy won't finance you an entire $15. My lunch usually cost more than that, and my lunch only stays with me a few hours.
Keep making 'em & I'll keep buying 'em, chummers.
Except they don't have to pay again. People who actually gave their own money on Kickstarter get Dragonfall included. That was one of the stretch goals. Their money went specifically into its development, so they don't pay.
People who did not kickstart, do have to pay. Thats the definition of fair.
