For those who have AMD GPUs

I asked the big boss Ian Bell the permission to post what he said about AMD's putting the blame on SMS for the perf's problem

We've provided AMD with 20 keys for game testing as they work on the driver side.

But you only have to look at the lesser hardware in the consoles to see how optimised we are on AMD based chips.

What can I say but he should take better stock of what's happening in his company. We're reaching out to AMD with all of our efforts. We've provided them 20 keys as I say. They were invited to work with us for years.

Looking through company mails the last I can see they (AMD) talked to us was October of last year.

Categorically, Nvidia have not paid us a penny. They have though been very forthcoming with support and co-marketing work at their instigation.

We've had emails back and forth with them yesterday also. I reiterate that this is mainly a driver issue but we'll obviously do anything we can from our side.

AMD Performance Issues

If you have performance issues and are using an AMD card, please post the following info:

CPU: i7 4790k

In Game Settings: High, 1080p, No AA
AI: 20 Cars
Average FPS: 30-45

There is no issue i guess..This game is a simulation so its calculate to many physx than other arcades.I guess nvidia has cuda so they take much more fps than amd :/ also i have r9 290 too.

average fps: 50 -74 fps

Some great gains we saw from an earlier driver they released have been lost in a later driver they released. So I'd say driver is where we start.

Again, if there's anything we can do we will.

thank you for the "news" but it still remains ridiculous that with an AMD 290x MSI Gaming4G in OC mode, on Ultra and on clear (sunny) I have to see 20fps on 1080p single screen. And 60-65fps, little stuttering even with high settings (nothing ultra) and no AA.

And on Montecarlo (azure coast) 40-45 fps (not more!).

Obviously rain and night get worse.

It's not SMS fault? It's not AMD? don't care.. fix it

Sapphire R9 290 tri x oc, 15fps at the beginning of spa and rain settings. :(
Just 1080p, turned down some settings no AA no MSAA no AF no FXAA ....

Have you tried turning off grass? When I turned that off a stormy Spa with 19 AI "seems" smooth. Oh, I set all particles to medium too. The rest are high.

turned down grass from ultra to off. Improvement is around 3 fps

R9 280x 3Gb, CPU 3,90 Ghz, 8Gb RAM, SSD and 25 fps without bots, graphic Low, FXAA off, ALL DISABLED!!! unplayable!
