Something extraordinary happened this morning, an event comparable to Ragnarök itself - signaling both the end of times and a new beginning. Arriving at the office we had the pleasure of seeing War of the Vikings in a whole new way; radiating in a soothing aura of self confidence and greatness. As we basked in the nearly blinding light coming out of what seemed like nowhere we noticed what had changed, extruding from its chin was a lone, but proud, strand of hair.

“It is ready” said Executive Producer Gordon van ♥♥♥♥, “Step out of your crib, brave child. The world has awaited your arrival, and you are now prepared.”

And so, after a long and fruitful childhood, War of the Vikings stepped out of Early Access and was officially released. Ready to meet the challenges of being a retail game with grand plans for the future and a metaphorical-content-beard that had only begun to grow.

Gordon closed his eyes and continued speaking, this time into the void. “Now, dear community, we owe you our most heartfelt thanks” he said lovingly, “for what is a Viking without its loyal comrades? No longship can set sail, no village can be raided and no Saxon scum will ever say farewell to his viscera without your presence by our side. Would we be here if not for the diligent and ever present assistance from our brothers and sisters in arms? The truth is no, we would not. You have been an unbelievably valuable asset for us during the early stages of War of the Vikings and you should be proud of what we have achieved together.” He takes a brief pause to gather himself and continues, “So let us face the future as we did with the past and make this great game into something amazing! Let us be the scissor that grooms the previously mentioned metaphorical beard into a creation that makes Odin himself awestruck!”

He stops again, this time a bit longer, and slowly opens his eyes - brimming with tears of joy.

“So thank you, everyone, for all you have done and all you will do. Side by side, brothers and sisters, to Valhalla!”

Just a heads up: the Valhalla DLC app in the Valhalla Edition sub (http://steamdb.info/sub/42331/) is set to be ignored by the cross-check that Steam performs when it determines whether or not the user account owns the included apps, and since the other apps in the sub are currently private (the game itself aside, obviously), I can't add the gift copy I have to my account as I purchased the base game during the Early Access period (i.e. Steam is only cross-checking the game app, which I already own, thus resulting in an error when I attempt to activate the gift). This needs to be fixed by you guys as while I could ask Valve to remove the Early Access version from my account, in doing so I'd lose the Early Access DLC.

Late edit: I assume the non-upgrade subs are set up to have Steam ignore the non-game apps to prevent people who've purchased a higher edition from accidentally purchasing a lower one (Ubi does this with most of its Uplay games, for example, as all editions come with key DLC). If the Valhalla Edition sub I was gifted is to remain as-is then my only option would be to ask Valve to remove the Early Access version from my account, but considering I'd be losing the Early Access/Founders DLC in the process I'd need a key to replace it. Sorry, it seems my situation has the potential to be a bit messy, haha. Never mind, I ended up selling it and will just buy the upgrade at a later date.

you suuure this is what you call a launch ?

perhaps add a warning sign that informs players that its more unstable than it was for the most part in Beta, i have seen very few day's in the beta where it was worse than now.

i hope that the freezing and bug's will be fixed asap and that we atleast get a popup when to look out for it on the forums :/
