Broken Achievements (and other In-Game Bugs) Thread

Record any in-game bugs here (especially those that are humorous or frustrating):

-In singleplayer mode some moving platforms and traps keep moving while the game is paused, even though everything else stops. (Such as in Level 15 the black, horizontally moving, platforms you can stand on with yellow spikes on the side.)

-Beating a level with no deaths often produces a results screen that says "No Label" for all stats. (Time, Deaths, and the other stat.)

-If you turn on an "Extra" such as the restart level on death extra and then exit a level the Extra turns itself off. It also seems to turn off if you restart the level or select "Choose level" from the pause menu.

-It seems like the naming for Rush Bros is a little inconsistent. On the steam store profile page it is "Rush Bros." In my library it is "Rush Bros" (no .) in the in-game title screen it is back to "Rush Bros." and the window title while running the game is also different: RushBrothers

-Everytime you restart the level the song playing changes, even if you had only been listening for a few seconds and are trying to complete a no deaths run.

-Take a dip summer achievement does not seem to work. (Jumping in all pools on level 42, even while the summer was season did nothing.)

-Pressing Start on 360 controller pauses the game. Pause screen says "B" on 360 controller goes "Back" Pressing "B" causes the moving between menu items sound to play but does not go back to unpaused (resume) state.

Update (May 2014): Looks like this game managed to make it's way into playfire rewards. A word of cautiom to all players, in previous recent threads the developer stated he is no longer working on this game. This means most of the achievements are still bugged and they'll stay that way.

Do note, the speed run achievement for Ramped Up is also legitimately impossible to achieve. That and Take A Dip are the two achievements I have yet to see anyone get.

Also, you can choose to loop a single song so the second to last thing you mentioned there isn't really an isse.

Hey thanks for the tip about looping the song! Having the music change the level everytime I restart was getting frustrating. I've contacted the developers directly through their site and through the ingame bug reporting feature but it does look like they are not active, as others have pointed out.

Somehow, I have a problem with the controls in the menu. The selection keeps rotating, and I can't properly click anything. If I press enter though, the level that happens to swoop by gets selected, and I can play normally.

It sounds like you are using a controller with analog sticks (such as the xbox 360). This can happen over time, most games program in a slight "dead zone" around the center so that if your controller isn't brand new and sits slightly to one side (they all do this after a month or two of use) it won't report that information until you move it yourself much futher. This game doesn't seem to have any dead zone so if it is off even in the slightest it will scroll and scroll.

Try plugging the controller in after starting the game.

If you are not using a controller your keyboard may have a key that reports it is down, is your keyboard older?

When I select Arcade Mode it's not working it shows options to select and stage. I select the stage and hear only dj scratch and the game is not loading. However multiplayer and VS mode is fine. I'm on 1.05 update.

@johnkaiser, any plans to fix these bugs? It looks like this game somehow got featured on playfire rewards even though the bugs making unlocking achievements unreliable are still prevalent.

I've done 18/22 PF achievements and other than the 'New Label' BS once, it's not broken. The platform thing is even very useful in Apollo's Wings.

There is a section of "A key to the City" (level 5) where the camera goes all over the place; At times it's possible your character isn't even on screen.

Wow, the developer updated the game again. I'm quite impressed. I thought they had given up hope.

Take a Dip is indeed working again. Will try Ramped Up later.

Update: Haven't been able to get Ramped Up yet, but I have been running ton some serious camera issues, on more than one level. It's almost like it can't keep up with how fast the character is going.
