Not at all. You can't expect them to monitor every forum on every site where the game is sold. It's just not feasible. They need to have a centralized place to address support issues and that's exactly what they have done. I understand that this is a Steamworks title and for that reason alone this forum should likely be 'looked at' more than others, but still, having users go direct to the source is likely the most sensible way to handle things.

Nobody is asking them to monitor every site. I agree with you that this forum should be viewed at a minimum, and other developers don't tend to ask this. But, if players want to go the extra mile, then that's fine.
We try to achieve this by having a problem presented together with a solution in one place. We have very limited control over the Steamhub and prefer to focus on one where we do have control.
Many problems usually have a solution presented on the paradoxplaza forums.
