Chat missing keypresses/pressthrough

Two issues here, both chat-related. The first is that the multiplayer chat will miss inputs when typing at least 100-120 wpm, at an inconsistent rate of about one in a dozen keypresses. I've confirmed this with friends. While the average player will likely never encounter this issue, it's EXTREMELY frustrating for those of us who type quickly, and it'd be wonderful if something could be done about it. I'm tired of having to re-type messages, or slow down to avoid it. That's a lot harder than you might think.

The second is that multiplayer chat input will still be taken as controls for interfaces while interfaces are active, rarely resulting in item loss if you try to chat with your inventory open. Not sure how this was overlooked, but keypresses with the chatbox open should only be used by the chatbox.
