How do I beat momoko (the moai head on the sewers)

I tried jumping and hitting with melee, jumping and trying to him with arrows, but still nothing, am I supposed to reflect his projectiles or you can aim the bow?

from what i know you need to hit him with arrows when his mouth is open. just hit tab to target him amd, that should be alll you have to do

thats how I did it, drop down> tab>shoot once>haul A** up the stairs> repeat

I never realised you could target enemies with R2/tab until now, I was expecting mouse or analog aiming
