What are the use of F1 - ... buttons?

I just plkay this game. Like I have put in the title. I have seen F1 - ... is a like a shortcut button to automatic item grouping that you can equip or use.

However, when I pressed F1 and then pressed button 1 or button 2 my weapon is not changed. In the same case with consuming potion. So what is the point of having F1 - ... button?

I think those are just to show you what is in your inventory by group. For example, F6 (i think) shows you all the rings in your inventory and it also shows which ones are equipped.

Ah okay. It is sad that the button is only for viewing honestly. If I can use he item that would be great.

Sorry, I was wrong. If you press F2 you should see all you melee weapons. If you then press the number you will equip the weapon as long as you meet it's requirements. If nothing happens when you press F2, check if you keyboard has a function key (Fn). So, Fn + F2
