I bought the gold edition DLC but Steam gives an error while activating, "please first activate the original game", but I already own the base Sword of the Stars: The Pit.

Edit: Looks like I need Mind Games DLC to activate it, oh well.

It states DRM Free which is better than steam but I can't confirm if you can or can't redeem it on steam.
