For some people there's a stigma against early access due to bad experiences with games never being completed, dev's abandoning them, etc. A game without that label is much more appealing to those people.

People who got it a long time ago are back to see what all was added and changed. And I know of at least 1 sponsored Lets Play that is advertising the game and im sure theres several more thats not sponsored. Those tend to get a lot of people interested.

There's a big advertisement for it on the front page of Steam. That tends to increase the interest. There are thousands of games on Steam so most people will not end up focusing on the same ones except when you make them aware of it or remind them of it by showing them advertising. Probably there are at least several sponsored twitch.tv streamers playing the game this week to get people interested in the game release, which is another form of advertising.. There's also a brand new update with new features including the never before available escape mode which the developers have been promoting over the past few weeks.. That will increase the interest of people that already have been playing and following the game for a long time, at least for a few days.

Tons of new people. Glad to see this game's community has been given a huge spark. Hopefully we'll see some new prisons in the workshop.

People say there is no stupid Questions, you proof that to be wrong.

They are also running a sponsored youtube/twitch campaign. Something that makes perfect sense to get people who has been waiting for releases attention.

One ought not to make snide comments about another's "stupid" question all the while making a stupid statement themselves. Why? Because it makes them look stupid.

It's "...there are no stupid questions" not ..."there is no stupid Questions" ("are" is plural and "questions" is not a proper noun so there's no need to capitalize).

And one does not "proof" something to be wrong, they "prove" something to be wrong.

You, sir (or madam), are no professor.

Its good to see the game been so actively played, a lot of people have been asking for the escape mode to have more work on it since its introduction in Alpha 19 to 21 (can't remember which Alpha it was featured in) then there is the expansion to campaign mode and numerus bug fixes. Also some people are looking to see if anything else has changed been added like the 6 different types of wardens to choose from which wasn't disclosed in the video.

Alot of people who purchased the game never played it durring its Alpha day's, they left it uninstalled waiting for it to be offically released.

These are just some of the examples, i'm sure there are others reasons other than the regular player's who will have gone straight for escape mode with few doing the campign. I personally have almost 900 hours ingame and have been playing since around Alpha 17 and i started a campaign as escape mode as fun as it sounds the campaign was what i was looking forward to more.

Weirdest question I've ever seen.

Some people don't buy games in alpha.
Some people who bought the alpha (like me) stopped played many months ago as it wa frustrating playing half a game.
Some people who bought the alpha (like me) also stopped playing many months ago because they didn't want to be bored of the game by the time it did reach 1.0.
