Door Control
It seems my guard is either incompetent or I've done something wrong. Nearly half the doors in my prison have Servos on them and they're hooked up to the Door Control, yet he seems to refuse to open them. Some help, please?

I've tried it that way and in reverse. It seems to be refusing to work. I'll connect them that way then tell you about any more problems.

The process is as follows:
-Install a servo a make sure it's powered.
-Install a door control and make sure its powered. This has to be done inside a Security room.
-Connect the Door Control towards the Servo, (NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!)
-Wait until a guard is assigned into the device automatically.

If you mess up ANYTHING from above, it won't work.

Nope, the Door control would work everywhere, not just in a security room. But i would agree, that this is the best suiting room.

Now I have only one problem.
I have it on a remote door.
It is hooked up to a power cable, but still says it needs power.

Then you don't have it hooked up to a power cable. It needs direct connection.

I suggest you double check on that.

I did, but like what seems to happen regularly to me, a cable down the line said ♥♥♥♥ off.
It literally just didn't happen. DARN YOU INCOMPETENT WORKMEN!

It happens, sometimes workmen will refuse to install the ONE line of cable (generally the very first one ordered) just to spite you. That's why it's important to double check.

One thing that's a bit funny, is that my prison is even more of a puzzle game than one usually is. Why? I have two power stations on seperate circuits so I don't destroy the power grid for the fourteenth time.

If you look at the cable layout of my prison, you'll see its a damn mess and i can't change it because most cables are overlapping pipes and there is no way to take out cables without harming the pipes.

I have the same problem, but I have to keep the two circuits seperate or BAM, power cuts out.

Just wait until you have to mess with 5 different circuits.

I did nearly end up with 3.
5 is going to kill me.

You just need to pre-plan out power grid areas and keep them seperate from one another. If you have to you can take out pipes and power lines both with demolish tool and reinstall what you need to make it work. It would be nice if you could just daisy-chain multi power stations... but until they add that just plan it out a little.
