screenshot in utility view would be nice.
-Install a servo a make sure it's powered.
-Install a door control and make sure its powered. This has to be done inside a Security room.
-Connect the Door Control towards the Servo, (NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!)
-Wait until a guard is assigned into the device automatically.
If you mess up ANYTHING from above, it won't work.
Nope, the Door control would work everywhere, not just in a security room. But i would agree, that this is the best suiting room.
I have it on a remote door.
It is hooked up to a power cable, but still says it needs power.
Then you don't have it hooked up to a power cable. It needs direct connection.
I suggest you double check on that.
It literally just didn't happen. DARN YOU INCOMPETENT WORKMEN!
It happens, sometimes workmen will refuse to install the ONE line of cable (generally the very first one ordered) just to spite you. That's why it's important to double check.
If you look at the cable layout of my prison, you'll see its a damn mess and i can't change it because most cables are overlapping pipes and there is no way to take out cables without harming the pipes.
Just wait until you have to mess with 5 different circuits.
5 is going to kill me.
