Is this game possible if you grind a lot?
I really like grinding and see my group evolving..but i heard its really impossible to finish the whole game with a high BR..is that true? I like challenge..but its impossible? The last time i played the game is a bit time ago..so i just want to ask.

It is possible to finish the game with a high BR.
On my very first complete playthrough I finished the whole game with a BR over 100.
If you grind a lot and get a high BR it gets a bit more difficult to finish the secret uber bosses but not impossible.

If you look up the Wiki you can check the br of every boss, Most bosses have a max br so its even possible to outgrind those , however small groups you encounter rnd or which are protecting this boss will be on your br and very strong. So yes it is possible but will be very hard because they hit you like a brick.

As a die hard dark souls 2 player this is what i wanted to hear :D I would start it if i have more time, this game is a MASSIVE time sink and even more if its hard like you said. Thanks for your answers, yet i know that i can play it my way.

Np, the highest boss should be the White Conquerer/The Lost with a br of 202. Long way till you get there :D

I've heard some folks use "trainer" programs to hack their saves to make them start out at BR 255 for an extra challenge. It's still possible to win for sure.

love to see gamers loving hard RPGs like this, it feels refreshing

Thats true. I think a lot of gamers like it easy..non-frustating and i can understand that.. but i really love games like binding of isaac, dark souls and stuff. But these games are rare..but i really love the fact that they exist and there are devs who make games like that :) And the last remnant is a good example for a game who can have a good story and being challenging!

FYI, the Last Remnant was made by the people that made SaGa series.
So if you want the same types (no lvl, random stats, enemies lvl up with you, almost no-hand helding, and getting killed on random encounter) try Romancing SaGa : Mistrel Song for PS2. should be cheap now
although its artwork takes some time to get used too

i find that running all the side quests will get you a very high BR no matter what, unless you activelly avoid lots of fights. I am just passed the aquaducts and my BR is currently 50 which seems fine with the whole game arc, but I can see that as a I keep doing quests it will pump up very fast. I actually like this. because instead of simple grinding, I have a goal when I goal back to an area, which is alot more fun then how alot of other jrpgs do it.

The trick to doing well is to balance your BR progression with your units equipment progression.

Every one in a while, take a break and go spam Diggs at harvest points for materials that your units need. Don't forget to find Morsels as well so you can make longer trips. Avoid fights unless the mob drops a material you need.

You don't really wanna be going up against, say, Gates of Hell with weapons that have only been reinforced to the seventh order, after all.

You will see your group evolve naturally, no need to grind. Just do all the side quests and you're set. This isn't one of those games that will become easy if you mindlessly grind, this is a kind of game that'll become easier as your skill, tactics and knowledge of the game mechanics improve.

You need to do a measure of grinding for the Fallen though. Which is a side quest.

Not if you plan for it. You wouldn't know to do that in your first play-through but, in your second, you can start prepping for the so & so right off the bat. Especially if Rush starts with Hexes.
