The Fiery Revolt Quest Help

I'm trying to finish the last of the quests before I enter the Aqueducts, and this one is really giving me trouble. I'm BR 37 and I have 3 unions of 5, all at around 3000 strength. I never even get close to killing the monster. What were your levels and strength upon beating this quest?

Make sure to have all 9 Salias before you finish the quest. For this one, I end up sending one union during the first turn to absorb Curse and have everyone else wait. Then I just send my guys. However, I really don't advise having 3 groups of 5 since that means they'll take more damage from attacks that affect the entire union.

I would say with your 3x 3000 HP and the right tactics you should just be able to keep your head above the water.
As this is a battle where the enemy can one-shot a union, you always have to keep at least one union behind, to heal/revive the damaged/killed unions before the end of turn.

Build your unions accordingly. Maybe a little more HP/MDEF in your primary attack union and a bit less of that in your healer union. There you want a good healer as leader with the proper class.

Basically the same applies here as in your other thread about surviving the multi-deadlock attacks.

How do you tell your units to wait? Usually it doesn't give me that option, instead offering various forms of Attack or Heal.

Having a leader with class Scout, Hunter, Sorcerer, Healer or Bishop. These have preference for healing commands; many of them breaking/staying out of deadlock.
