I usually have 4+4+4+3
As this is a battle where the enemy can one-shot a union, you always have to keep at least one union behind, to heal/revive the damaged/killed unions before the end of turn.
Build your unions accordingly. Maybe a little more HP/MDEF in your primary attack union and a bit less of that in your healer union. There you want a good healer as leader with the proper class.
Basically the same applies here as in your other thread about surviving the multi-deadlock attacks.
