trackmania update patch download ?

Hi,i noticed when playing online with any of the three trackmania racing titles that i can't see custom car skins for other players,i then read there is a patch for it,i also read there is an update 2,for trackmania 2,however i can't find these patches or updates to download,i always thought steam updated these for me,but i recently formatted my pc and fresh installed all trackmania titles and i can't see other player skins.

do i need to update trackmania maually ?
do i need to locate and download patches and updates for each title or is it all included
where can i find the patches/updates - trackmania support pages are crap and i can never find what i am looking for,only on steam forums i have found english talking people that can help.

updates download autmoaticaly. to see other players skin takes time as well as them to see yours.

Been playing the game for nearly a year,i have never saw another player with a custom car,nor have i saw a player with a custom flag/avatar and i don't ever recall an online player with a custom horn.

hello, check your p2p settings then. in the game settings dialogue go to the PeerToPeer tab and click advanced. If everything is ticked then there may be a firewall issue on your pc as you should be seeing stuff. Also check the game tab and make sure ignore player skins is not ticked.

Hi thanks for your help,i checked the settings tab-peer to peer and advanced as well,there are ticks on all settings to show custom content.and in the game tab in settings there is no tick in the ignore player skins setting.I have a default windows 7 x64 ultimate install,i have no other software installed and i never use a firewall,i could disable windows firewall to check but i doubt that is the cause and i don't want to disable it,i did however make an exception for trackmania when the game first launched,i don't have networking problems with any other games and my ports are open,i sometimes run a private minecraft server with no issues and this would give me problems for sure if my networking was messed up.
