i know of no serious error
you say you have not bought it
yet you are talking about errors
so you are just repeating what you cannot know
i have the game and it runs great
loads of fun
here you will only find trolls/griefers/simcity fanbots and parrots who repeat the same misinformation they read and hear about ;)
simtropolis.com as well.
You will want
1) cameramod http://xlnation.net/xlex/modding_index (enter camera on the left)
2) wasd moves camera (on the same results page as above)
3) Realistic Hiway Mod on that site.
Then there's "NEXL" but it adds A LOT of crap to the game. trolleys, trams, ferries etc etc. It's seriously a ridiculous mod.
I don’t think this game made them that rich since it broke them down :p and now other publisher just got the rights, but the case is that the game will not be fixed (at least by the publisher and the original devs work not for them).
The game was bought outright. no licensing, no rights retained. The whole hog. That usually means they got it for a bargain basement price.
If they paid $10m for it, that's 500k copies at $20 each just to break even and without infrastructural costs. It's been 3 years and there's been ZERO infrastructural. Ocassional development for a GOTY edition with some new stuff that honestly would take very little time and money.
They've made plenty off this game and have no intention of making it better.
Of course they bought it to do business, why else they are going to buy the license?
That doesn’t meant they plan to fix it without the original devs. and like you told they are earning money when patching will be costly and who knows if in the long run will be a good investment.
SIDE NOTE: the header of this thread says to the DEVELOPER, and the developers are not responsible of this game anymore, should be to the PUBLISHER.
Correct.
Exactly, i have a $600 computer that wasn't custom built from retail and it runs this game fine, yes it is on minimum graphics but it doesn't have those problems people are say they are having. If you have it on high graphics and you are having problems, turn down the settings.
But if you have a lengthy play-session, the game will slow down and have graphic artifacts. It's been like that for 2+ years.
Most developers would fix it by releasing a "remade from the ground up" version that's more effecient and slicker interface. That's not gonna happen here, and that's what ppl are pissed about.
In all the complain threads I've seen, I don't think anyone ever said that it wasn't fun.
