Client not responsding after selecting a character?

After finally opening the game i had created my character without any issue but after selecting him to play in game the client just does'nt respond anymore. I waited a few minutes thinking its internet but it just does not respond so i had to close it.

This could be related to a few things. There is an issue with some steam games where they will be unresponsive at a certain time. This could be resolved with these fixes in the Steam support section.
