i have winquake and the colors keep spazing out how do i fix this

soo i have winquake and i've seen alot of guides and stuff on how to fix this problem but it doesn't seem to work the only thing that solve the color issue is when i take damage or pick something up please help i really want to enjoy this awesome game the way its meant to be enjoyed.

I'm afraid there's no definite fix for this with the standard Winquake other than the ones you've already found. You can try the enhanced version of Winquake.exe included here[user.tninet.se] to see if it works out of the box.

What oporating system are you using, and are you running GLquake? If you're running GLquake, try the normal version. If you can't find a solution, try a different quake engine, like proquake, or darplaces.

Many software ports get around this. QbismSuper8 and Makaqu are a couple.
