I did it on E1M2 on Nightmare, after you kill the first Shambler run for the very end and stand where it spawns. Instant kill, felt so good on my first try years ago.
Part of the skill in Quake is understanding the layout of the maps and where all the monsters, items, buttons and secrets are for each difficulty.
not to mention, that alot of IdSoftware games have alot of hidden comedic moments in them if you time the events just right
I got a zombie stuck in the crack between the end of a lift and the little ledge at the front where the ceiling connects to the wall of the floor above, it got stuck inside the wall and started spazzing out and I couldn't kill it no matter how many grenades or rockets I used.
Hahahaha, you gotta love those ragdoll moments!!! I've had similar incidents like that in "Doom 3" and "Rage", where a bad guy's corpse would sometimes get stuck in a doorway or wall/floor and often spaz out and fly across a room.
Watch "Quake Done 100% Quickest" on YouTube, and just sit back and watch, beaten with all kills, all secrets, no deaths on Nightmare. That video is the reason I bought this game on non-sale ($9.99). Telefrags all day.
LOL, I just gotten finished watching that part of the video, and i'm quite impressed at how quickly they finished all 4 episodes in just under an hour.
