Starseed Pilgrim
Big Screen and controller support?
Can anyone tell me if the game works in Big Picture mode and whether I can play using an Xbox pad?

No support for controllers at the moment ): Definitely something I'm looking into though!
You can play it with a 360 controller easily enough by using JoyToKey or xpadder to bind keyboard keys to your sticks and buttons.
I would love to set it up with joy2key, however I can't get the d-pad to work, I don't really like the sticks, theyre too sensitive and my dude ends up doing things I dont want him to do. any help setting this up with joy2key so I can use the d-pad would be exceptional.
Thanks for the replies. I think I'll wait till I have a desktop monitor before I buy. Hopefully won't be long.

At some point there'll be a small update allowing you to separate the movement & dig controls -- mostly for the benefit of those using gamepads!
droqen, i don't get it. first you say you are looking into native gamepad support and then you talk about a small update that might be released some day so we can use joy2key or such?
be advised that i just wanted to buy this game based on reviews but will not since it doesn't have controller support...not going back to the 80s when it comes to controls for such games

It is possible to release multiple updates, you realize! I don't know what will be required of me to get native gamepad support working in AIR (esp. cross-platform), but I know that I can -easily- add options that will make the game more joy2key-friendly. Even if I get gamepad support working, I'll still add options to make the game more joy2key-friendly because I've learned not to trust device detection to work 100% of the time.
Thanks for the updates droqen, SP is currently number one on my wishlist and hopefully not for too long!

I'm also waiting on native controller support. I have a question - if I purchase the bundle at your site, does that include a steam key for Starseed Pilgrim? I would love to try your other games there.

I've bought the bundle on the site (btw. win the demo of P0 first!) and got SP key for Steam when it got greenlit. Other games are awesome too.
I decided to buy this game after noticing it was 55% off on Steam. As far as I can tell, there's still no gamepad support, which is quite a disappointment indeed. I probably would have bought this game earlier (at a higher price!) had it had gamepad support, I guess in the meantime I'm stuck using xpadder.

This game has already gotten my money and I don't really have any intention of buying it a second time, so I guess my complaint doesn't give much immediate tangible incentive to be more aggressive about implementing gamepad support (even if it's just support for Xbox 360 controllers), but I have to imagine there are other people who are like me. Regardless, it certainly would be appreciated and engender a bit of consumer goodwill.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I came on the forum to check if controllers were supported since its more comfortable to play with considering im gonna be chilling out all mello like, laying back on a couple pillows with a coffee and all :3
If they add X360 pad support with MotioninJoy compatibility (The PS3 controller is much more comfortable for me) then this is an instant-buy :3

What percentage of games on steam have controller support? I just got into computer gaming, but I don't really care for keyboard and mouse controls.

Thanks!
hey man, yeah, there are actually lots of gams that have controller support and the easiest way to tell is if a game has big picture support or full controller support on their store page :3
Any tyeps of games you might be looking for? Cause I can provide a few suggestions if youd like :3
I really like puzzle platformers, and rpgs :)
