Healing mod

Some months ago (when it wasn't on Steam yet) I started La-Mulana. I had some problems with healing, as the save points didn't heal Lemeza (unlike other metroidvanias), thus forcing me to often visit the hot spring. Luckily I found an useful mod here[sites.google.com], which solved my problem. I then stopped playing as I didn't have enough time. Unfortunately that mod (which was a modified exe of one of the earliest version) doesn't work anymore with the updated game. :\ Does anyone know another similar mod?

I'm pretty sure they intended you to have to heal at a hot spring. You can also find Healing Fairies if your lazy.

The point of not being able to heal like that is so that you couldnt just rush in taking damage, so if you wanted to heal you had to either kill enough enemies to collect orbs and kinda time it when your bar would fill to get a full heal on a tough area, or teleport to the surface for the hot springs to start at full health from the closest save point. Finding the easiest or shortest route to wherever you wanna go is part of the challenge in a way, specially since later on many areas and shortcuts go all over the place linking all sort of places.
