Im learning more about him and watching videos and it seems like he gets melee damage bonuses as a character...is that true? Also why does he go so fast in the videos on youtube.....are they speeding him up through hacks and or video editing or are they adding a ton of speed bonuses through mods and stuff....like whats are his strengths and weaknesses really?

I have ash... I don't think any warframe has any damage bonuses so I don't think he gets any melee damage bonuses...

Speed is one of his strengths. Except for loki, ash is fastest warframe out there. Also, given his armor (only rhino, frost and saryn have higher armor) he is also quite durable. This may be why in the videos you're watching he seems to be very good at melee (which is how I use him) because he can get within melee range quickly and without taking a lot of damage..

As for weaknesses, i find his teleport ability pretty much useless and since i'm not a very stealthy type I rarely use his smoke bomb ability either, but that's just me. Blade Storm is awesome if you point it at a huge group and watch them all die.

All in all, he's the best warframe (on par with frost whose also a favorite of mine) in my opinion but I think it's more a question of playing style

When in stealth Ash (and Loki) get +50% normal melee damage and +100% charge damage.Otherwise, yeah, he's one of the faster frames, up there with Loki. It's notable that he actually has a good amount of health and defense too.

So he's fast, has stealth/AoE stun, has high HP, and has above average defense. All of this of course means he's great for charging in and cutting up some baddies.

im a melee guy alllll the way....like i would personally like to bring in just s pistol nd my swords or zoren. Ive been seeing ash do some crazy melee with the zoren so i was just wondering how good is he with those. you said his teleport ability is ♥♥♥♥? so only blade storm and smoke bomb are good on him?

Hm, I dunno about that. But even if Shade did give bonus damage, it wouldn't matter all that much. You lose stealth from a shade as soon as you attack. You can attack as much as you want while stealthed on Ash and Loki.

I didn't say they're crap. I said I find them useless, as in I don't use them. I guess if you like stealth you'll be using them much more than I do.
Shuriken does decent damage as well once upgraded. If not upgraded it can still one hit kill medium level enemies.
As for melee weapon, I personally love the fangs except when against Infested (for that I have dual ether)

Well :

Shuriken is dealing heavy damage (aim for the head ) And when using it ALWAYS aim before,or the shuriken sometimes go flying in all sorts of direction,and you do not want that to happen.

Smoke bomb is the best ability of ash when maxed out. Vs infected? bring on some charge attack weapons,and when you get surrounded,smoke bomb and charge attack. Ennemies won't see you,and you will deal bonus damage, in fact it reminds me of Rhino+iron skin, but instead of invincibilty,you get almost no damage because you'"t invisible+you deal extra melee damage.

Teleport is good too,but because of animation it shoul be used oly when...using smoke bomb!
See the three ennemies up ahead? smoke bomb,teleport to one ennemy and slash them to death,stealthily (i love to charge kill one or two ennemies befor killing the last one with stealth kill animation).

Bladestorm is weird to watch, but hey,it's a beast. You're in defense mission shooting ennemies,and suddenly,many ennemies appears,just aim at one,whatever the distance,and go for bladestorm, Ash will teleport,kill a lot of ennemies then (and this is the most important particularity of his ultimate) get back to the point you launch the attack,perfectly safe and ready to fire again frome a distance. Bladestorm basically allows you to surprise butcher groups of ennemies that are far away,preventing them to come closer than you want them.

Well,did i mention Ash is awesome?
