Disgraceful indeed...
It's a valid argument. You are claiming that the dev is insulting you because they won't offer their goods at a discount. Do you treat all manufacturers of goods this way? Why would I discount my goods if people are more than willing to pay full price? When was the last time Minecraft went on sale?
Go take a basic economics course, you sound like a damned crybaby 12 year old.
Way to dodge the question. So you proved my point. You don't crybaby to Apple that their phones never go on sale for half-price. So STFU and GTFO cause no one gives a ♥♥♥♥ about a 12yo w/o enough allowance to afford one of the best games of last year.
How about... it's their game and they can choose not to go on sale if they don't want to? The DOS Enhanced Edition is going to have full VO(which is extremely expensive in case you didn't know) and a bunch of new features and it's going to cost nothing for everyone who already have the game. You can be pissed about the pricing all you want, but they're NOT greedy.
I love the misinformation you wield to feed your rage. You know, Larian is releasing the Enhanced Edition for free for customers of D:OS, and is working on the next game using their own money. The kickstarter was to fund enhancements that were outside the scope and budget of the sequel. They almost went bankrupt on the first game (literally bet it all on D:OS and won), and they're being cautious about the sequel's scope. D:OS has gone on sale in the past, and may go on sale in the future, but the idea that a game must be on sale at your demand is ridiculous.
These are not things you want to understand, because you prefer outrage. You need the outrage. No explanation will calm your carefully cultivated rage. But Larian is not the villain you need it to be; you're just here to throw a fit and try to get some affirmation or a power trip. Or to threaten a company into bowing to your will. But you're not here to understand or "talk".
You might try sock puppetry, you know. Why leave it to others to back you up in your opinions? They might not do that for you! I suggest you open at least 3 or 4 other accounts so you can always tag-team people who don't show sufficient enthusiasm for your outbursts. You really need to lean the techniques -- so many others trolls have put more effort into their "campaigns" against a company's reputation. Really, you're being not just overly-sensitive but LAZY!
Poor kid.
Larian doesn't lock threads (another nice side to them -- they don't censor dissent even when it's an obvious troll), so this one will probably rage for bit before petering out. But as long as you have those sock puppet accounts, you can keep it going. Be strong, little troll! Wield that outrage! Create the illusion of importance and agreement!
(or, you could back off of the hostility and actually talk it out, if you really want to know Larian's reasons. The "Let's talk" topic could have been an opportunity, instead of a passive-aggressive technique to lead into an attack. If you really want to know, ask nicely. The devs here are pretty open about their reasons, and they engage the community members who are not just picking fights. Perceived troll vs genuinely concerned fan is very much a difference of attitude and behavior.)
I'd also like to mention that the devs releasing the enhanced edition for free is the exact OPPPOSITE of greedy business practice (Look at Dark Souls Scholar of the First Sin for an example of this same practice done in a greedy way). You're fine to have your own opinion but why not try to provide some actual criticism instead of just "I don't like this therefore the dev's are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥"
you are the only disgrace i can see here.
One, discounted games are not used games. Two, hardware becomes obsolete over time, games do not. Three, have you ever heard of ♥♥♥ or steam trading?
Dumbass.
Divinity could NEVER go on sale and Larian would still be a non-profit organization compared to Ubisoft/EA/Square/2K.
Oh and let's ignore the free EE with the engine and gameplay overhaul and the fully voiced dialogues.
Like he said, crybaby 12 year old throwing a hissy fit.
my GOD do not EVER name those misbegotten spawns of the devils devs here again. i felt dirty in my soul only by reading them
