Accessing Steam in-game
I can't really access Steam community in-game. How do I do this, if at all possible?

You can't, this is just normal Doom 2 for dos.

You're not able to access the Overlay even with a source-port. I think it has something to do with the batch files, but you can't do anything with them. So, in other words, you can't access the Steam Overlay until they update the game, which sucks because every other Doom engine game launches straight from the program itself (e.g. Doom 1, Heretic, etc.)
