So I finally completed that damn helicoper mission

So I finally completed that damn helicoper mission..took me 30 -40 retries as it was so damn hard. I was so happy when I completed it but how long was that mission? no way you can complete it all one go without dying multiple times or failing?

I completed it on Expert without taking any damage.

thats crazy. It took me several retries to get it right. That mission was way too hard and silly. It was too long as well and they didnt give u much ammo

If you want some tips, never hover in place, keep strafing. Hold the lock button down on each target so you can keep attacking while strafing, let go then re-lock on the next target. Bring AAMs instead of 4AGMs so you can take down Hinds easier. Your rocket launcher is sufficient for ground targets.

yeah starting to get the hang of it. now stuck on the next mission lol the bomber where you target the ground objects damn it pisses me off

I'm right there now... the dang helicopter mission....

I'm stuck at the part with the Hinds and Illych being taken to the trucks.

Must have played that checkpoint now about 25 times, and its frustrating the heck out of me....

IF I can down the two Hinds, I don't get to the escaping bad guys on time. Very annoying to then have to go back and try again and again.

I tried downloadingn save game from the internet to unlock all campaign missions. Don't know where to put the save game file though.

it started off easy enough but by the later missions like mission 3 or 4 thats when I started replaying missions 10-15 times and it was reallly annoying me. I finally passed that silly helicopter mission that was really long and stuck on the bomber mission now so I quit playing, when I get annoyed by a game that wont let me continue I quit playing for months on end

that helicopter mission was way too hard and too long as you had to fly for ages

Guys download a save game file from here http://savegame-download.com/ace-combat-assault-horizon-save-game-pc/

Then in My Documents folder create a new folder called NAMCO, inside NAMCO folder create a a new folder named ACAH. Place the downloaded save game file there.

This also fixes options not saving.

there so many helicopters flying but it seems like only me doing all the shooting..

I was able to beat the mission eventually with a controller. Though probably the most annoying thing for me was the turn speed. Having to move the crosshairs to the edge of the screen can get really annoying. I tried to rebing yawing left and right but the controls are broken only allowing me to yaw right.

Right. This is the way I play the game. I'm new to ACE series so I chose easy difficulty and I have a 360 controller. Even so I still died once in helicopter mission. The game is fun.
