You connect via IP adress of your router (maybe 192.168.1.1 ?) and search for Virtual Server or NAT anything like that and look for "Port Triggering/Forwarding) - there you will have to set your local IP (maybe 192.168.1.100 ?) and the Port (forgot the portnumber) aaaand UDP+TCP (both) just to be safe.
Good luck.
1) open start menu and type cmd in the search box.
2) run the command program it finds.
3) In the command box type "ipconfig".
4) write down the number next to Default Gateway.
5) Type that number exactly as it appears into whatever browser you use. This will take you to your router log in page.
6) Log into your router.
7) Using the manual for your router, or googled instructions, find Port Fowarding
8) Foward these ports (you need to open a range for the second one, not just the two numbers, do your homework.)
TCP and UDP 15000
TCP and UDP 2300-2400
TCP and UDP 47630
TCP and UDP 6073
9) Save the settings, then apply / resolve the port rules.
10) search google for your IP address and write that number down.
11) Give that number to people that you want to join your game.
10) Enjoy hosting BG2 games.
You have to type your PCs private IP address as the destination IP. you can find it in the 3rd step.
But be careful when more than one devices use your access point, chances are that your PCs IP address will change after you power your PC on. The reason being is that your DHCP server(your router) provided you with a different IP address.
You could give your PC a static IP address.
I have made this guide to setup your modem. You need to do 2 things:
1. forward port 47630 to your local i.p. address (in your lan home network).
2. Either configure the modem/router's firewall or disable it.
Check the guide its very clear with screenshots (I used a thomson gateway as a reference).
And if you still have questions check on the Baldur's Gate Group chat, you might find someone there to help. the Baldrusgate.com forums guys are awesome as well, they will answer any specific question you might have.
