Disable HUD mod?

In doom, I hate the HUD with doom guy's face on it, I know the "press + to disable it" solution but the game doesn't show my health, armor, or ammo, so that makes playing doom risky for not knowing your stats. If you know a mod that helps you with no HUD, please give me a link!

Has a configurable hud and allows for graphical improvements if you want them, and it works with a lot of different classic ID games.

I beleve Zandronum has a configurable HUD as well and supports a more modern multiplayer browser for doom as well, it that's something that interests you. It's supposed to be the spiritual successor to the Skulltag source port.
