What is GZDoom?

It makes the games run better on today's PCs. You could turn off all the new stuff like jumping and mouse look if you like. It makes the lighting better too.
Changing the map would come from mods.

the latest version of ZDoom also has both the mouse-look and jumping abilities (the latter I find to be funniest, as it breaks the game by allowing you to reach previously unreachable areas you'd originally had to go around or teleport to, as well as completely bypassing areas (good if you're speedrunning)
