Also, the score above that 10,000,000 freedom mark is your top score, not your cumulative score.
I hit 9 million a day ago so I probably would have figured it out eventually, but it's an issue that can easily be fixed and told within the tutorial at the end.
The good of seeing your top score is knowing how close you've gotten to the target score so you'd know if what you've done is effective or if you need to change tactics.
And, yes, the concept is to get 10,000,000. So when it requires you to get scores of 1,000,000 or 5,000,000 to unlock a new run rank level which gives an even higher score multiplier, it's even further away from an implication of the design to make the mistake of thinking that the "Top Score" was your "Total Score."
