I have a few questions...

So I have read the methodology and I'm really like it, but I'm still on the fence about it...
1. Can I use this app to track my current expenses in a not-so-budget way? After I start realizing my expenses/incomes I'll start using it as it is meant to be. :)
2. Can I use this app without launching steam?
a. If possible can I use it in my laptop and desktop PC or would I require 2 licenses?
3. What kind of currencies it supports?
4. Can you export the data to lets say excel or are the charts in-app good enough?

1 - yep (that's how I started too, but I wouldn't do it again. Just start with what you have now)
2 - yep (either create a shortcut to the exe file, or download from our site and copy/paste the key in)
2a - yep ( http://www.youneedabudget.com/support/article/install-ynab-on-multiple-computers )
3 - Most of them, but only one per budget file
4 - yep (ctrl/cmd-E to export, but the reports are pretty decent)

Not needing steam is a plus (steam for me is a gaming plataform :P). Two more questions...
1. I tend to format my PC several times every year... Do I need to de-register the software prior to formatting or not? (DRM kinda question)

2. Is possible to have multiples profiles (One for me, one for my girlfriend) but keep them private to each one?

1 - nope, you can just install it again
2 - You can have separate budget files, I'm not sure how you'd keep them private though. If you have separate profiles on your computers that might work.

People have complained a lot that this ended up on the winter sale and it's not a video game. Funny thing is you have offered more support and help to your customers than any other developer I've seen so far. I'm considering picking this up and just had to applaud your customer service.

Bought 2 copies... one for me and one for my brother. As stated by the dev this software is a tool for the method, so let's see how this will work out for the 2 of us.

Also I'm just wondering why the dev does not price match the price on his website?

We don't do sales on our site very often (maaaaybe twice a year), and so we decided to just let this one be a Steam sale, rather than doing a product-wide sale. Wasn't my call to make, but it doesn't seem to have caused a huge commotion :)
