Sang-Froid - Tales of Werewolves

Sang-Froid - Tales of Werewolves

I think there's a minor continuity error in the story (possible spoilers ahead)
First of all this is a really great game and I loved it. But I just noticed one small thing that is probably an error in the story. When you view the description of Jack on the character select screen, it says he fought in the Patriote Rebellions in 1837. But at the end of the game, in the flashback to 1838 at the birth of Josephine, we see that in 1838 Jack and Jos were just little kids. It would be hard to believe he was much older than 12 or 13 at that time at the oldest. So how could he be involved in the Patriote Rebellions a year BEFORE that? Was he fighting in the battle as a 12 year old kid, and then went into exile after that? Then why is he still living with his father? Why isn't there a scar on his face in 1838, if he received it in the battle of Saint-Charles in 1837? It just doesn't really add up. It really seems like this must have been some sort of error. Am I missing something, or does everyone else agree this doesn't make sense? I know it's a minor point, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Yeah it's been brought up a couple of times before, but you know, child soldiers fight all the time ;).

I guess that could work, but it still doesn't explain why a year afterwards he is living with his father and he doesn't have any scars. Maybe, for consistencies sake, it would be better to change his backstory in a patch (just the text on the character select screen needs to be changed I think), or at least make it different in Tome II? I mean I guess it doesn't really matter, it's just a thought.
