Can't find any purple Cephad Zoa, oops

Is it possible to get into an unwinnable state if you accidentally destroy all purple Cephad Zoa, and therefore have no way to create purple spores in order to turn acidic soil to alkaline soil?

I'm pretty sure that you'd still be able to 'win' the game, you just wouldn't be able to get the best ending.

Also, purple Cephad Zoa aren't the only source for purple spores.

Any idea where else I find purple spores? I can't increase the biomass at Lethe Gorge as I inadvertently turned all the purple Cephad to yellow & soil to acidic.. I've tried hunting in every cavern with no luck.

Found this out from support; you can create purple alkaline spores by splashing water _near_, but not against, yellow spores.

But how do you get yellow spores? I am down to 3 yellow Cephad Zoa but they are just not sporing :(

I had a problem with acidic seeds. I killed most of the plants of that type, because their biomass is low. Fortunately I managed to get one. In the chamber next to OCTO location there's a cave with 3 plants. They don't reproduce. I'm not sure what happend. But eventually I got a seed. You need to try to change soil type(with purple seed) on one of them, or kill one with explosive seed. It seemes to me, that in this cave these plants grow permanently. After plant changes to purple, kill it, go to another chamber and return.

I know this is a old discussion, last post was in May, but I didn't want to start a new thread for a quick question.

I had a problem in The Meadow where I accidentally planted too many Feran Zoa and they infected the area. Now, I can't get the biomass up to 2,000 to open the Cerebrane to where OCTO's distress signal is. I originally came across two Cephad spores, a purple and a orange, just floating around in the Chamber of Echoes, but I haven't met the Zoa yet. I know if I just manage to get a hold of one purple spore I can plant it and it'll infect the acidic soil and make it alkaline and I can get the biomass up.

Basically, where can I find Cephad Zoa, particularly ones that give the purple alkaline spores? What is the name of the location on the map?

This might be too late. I lost my sole purple and yellow spores found in the Chamber of Echoes and survived without them till I reached Enrichment. (Breed, my lovely Phytas & Cycots :) )
Just before you found OCTO,in Enrichment, you will find a chamber with 3 or 4 Yellow Cephad. Splash water on one yellow spore (wait till they come near you) and it will become purple spore. Plant purple on fertile , plant yellow on acidic terrain.

For future searchers like me, I figured out how to turn purple cephad zoa spores into yellow. Useful because I accidentally killed all of the yellow ones.

Just toss one at an acid droplet. Ta-da!
