Fantastic Four + Silver Surfer Being Removed From The Game

Just in case any of you are fans of the FF4 or Surfer and haven't picked them up yet, Gazillion is being forced to remove them from the game by June 30th (but still playable if you have them unlocked) by Marvel.

Pertinent information:

FANTASTIC FOUR AND SILVER SURFER HEROES NOTICE
Under Gazillion’s renewed licensing agreement we do not have the rights to continue selling these characters moving forward. However, players who have already purchased or unlocked any of these affected characters and costumes before June 30th will be able to them continue playing them as usual.

Starting on July 1st, 2017, the following Heroes will no longer be available to purchase with Gs:

Mr. Fantastic
Invisible Woman
Thing
Human Torch
Silver Surfer

This also includes all of their costumes; including Doom's Future Foundation (White) costume. His classic green costume will become his default.

I heard Ghost Rider's "What If" costume, Spidey's Bagman costume will be unavailable, too.

Damn, I just bought Doom's classic costume the other day, I absolutely hate the FF costume.

All of them. They can lose rights to use any of these characters. Welcome to online-only games. Anything can disappear at any time, including the entire game.

Wow! You are quite a Doomsayer. My question was about who own F4 rights atm and what other heroes are in same hand? But as the server is down, now I have time for little google search to find my answers.

This after some other Marvel games finally had X-Men added (I also play Future Fight on mobile)... Can't win 'em all, I guess.

I only unlocked Doom previously, but I had enough splinters from the event to buy Surfer, Torch, Thing, and Mr. Fantastic before the downtime.

It's not doomsaying, it's fact. Accepting it would prevent you from asking your question in the first place. Any hero can disappear from the roster at any time.

Fox owns the FF4 movie rights and Marvel or the House of Mouse isn't particularly happy about that. Especially after the last attrocious movie. So they nixed the FF4 comic series, and haven't allowed any developers to put them in their games. Marvel Heroes being an exception due to them already being in-game.

They had a similar rule about X-Men, but they seem to be reneging on that, since Future Fight has recently debuted Cyclops, Wolverine, Jean, Storm, Rogue, Beast and Magneto.

So because of that - and because X-Men have remained more relevant in current markets - mutants are probably safe in Marvel Heroes. Plus the bulk of them are already in the console version.

The new X-Men movies are better than the originals imo. The new FF4 is horrible.

Thanks Superman. Yes I worried about X-Men and Deadpool. It is quite strange how they can kept Doom. He is a heavy part of F4. True the main story is based on him and could be a critical hit on game.

What caused Gazillion to loose the contract?

They had better be still playable scene as I purchased them a year or so ago, and retained an electronic copy of the receipt.

If they are not, I expect to be WELL COMPENSATED for the loss of the costumes and heroes, scene as this represents a change in the contract that I originally accepted with Gazillion Entertainment LLC.

They didn't 'loose' a contract, their contract renewal with Marvel required them to make the FF4, Silver Surfer and assortment of costumes unavailable to buy after July 1st. Either through G's or Eternity Splinters.

Everything you bought is still there.
