what did they do to the rope?
They basically made it harder to abuse. Which is a good thing.
Are you guys going to finish this game? I just started playing Reloaded again and was shocked to find that I still get some of the same stupid bugs that I remember getting when I first bought this game...wth? I have this nice one now where the AI freezes up the game while it decides what it's doing during a turn. Time freezes and the music/sfx go on their glorious infinite loop. Fortunately I can hit ESC and restart the match YAY! Maybe that's an old one too? I'd be insane to try an online match because we know how fun that one was on release day. I'm scared of that dark place.
Then there is the DLC... (*begin laughter*)
I shouldn't direct my frustration at you but as a long time Worms fan (since the beginning) I'm shocked at the support Team17 gives these games and even the newer ones (check Revolution and Clan Wars forums). Once they are released it's on to next year's game and the cycle will repeat with new people being frustrated with the "high-level coding" that even Einstein couldn't cure if he tried. At least that is what I've been made to believe by "fans" and "devs" who have been brave enough to venture into the innards of Team17's creations. No it isn't that bad.
I guess I'll sell some silly tf2 items or something and buy Armageddon or even the first Worms game for a couple of dollars during a sale so I can try to relive a time when Team17 tried. The sad part is that I'm willing to bet that those 2 games have just as many problems with the versions that are sold on Steam. I guess I'm off now to check those forums! And the cycle continues...
/rage
thats bs...they destroyed the physics to make it easier to use for casual noobs...but well...casual noobs still suck at it and the rope is detroyed for race mode, shoppa, ...
edit:
small bugs (destroyed rope is a big fail) are there but your online problem is your problem...many friends and me never got lag...i bought revolution and i guess it was my last game from t17 because of money money mentality like u said...
