This is a Petition

Dear Team17, if any of you read this, please consider a minor update that would allow PC, Mac, and Linux users of your game to play together. I know the likelyhood of this changing anything is almost zero, but if anyone agrees with me, please post your agreement below.

No, there is a "version error" which occurs whenever the different opperating systems attepmt to play together. Ive done some research and found no way to solve the problem. I have experienced this problem firsthand when I attempted to play multiplayer with some friends, I was using a Mac, they had PCs.

I confirm this is true (Linux and Windows). It's unbelievable that after a rewrite of the game in 2010 this is what we end up with. Unbelievable. The T17 guys must be either freaking lazy or idiots, or I don't know. T17, I know good developers who could make the damn thing work like other software pieces from the 21st century, contact me.

Man, this was going to drive me crazy. Nerd as I am, of course I use Debian. My girlfriend plays on Windows. It's simply unbelievable that two up-to-date versions of the game can't play together.

This is a shame how team17 explains that. Much smaller and simpler games can support crossplatform multiplayer - pc, mac, linux, consoles, even mobile platforms.

Unturned is a great example of a simpler game. Its a little sad to think that a game designed by a teenager has better crossplatfor support than Worms.
