How do i play online ?

i heard that there is a way that you are still able to play this game online i just purchased the game for 5$ on steam cause i remember playing it on PS3 and loving it lol but i know the servers are shut down now so i was just wondering 1) how do i play the game online if i can ? 2) are there a lot of people playing it online :) ?

@CyberDown No there is no official online support anymore, since the developer went bankrupt. You can only play it via a virtual LAN like Tunngle or Hamachi. (I recommend Tunngle)
