Does Co-op work well?

with a few friends we are thinking about getting the game to coop it, but does the online coop is stable enough? i did a quick search and people weren't pretty happy about it.

the game is stated to work with gamepads, i can use an x360 pad?

As far as I know it does work well especially if all players are in same region/continent.
Last time I played some co-op the game crashed when I tried to adjust brightness but that's rare.

I used to play quite a bit of dukematch and some
Coop here and there. Always worked fine when playing with people in my region (North America)

And you have alternatives if it isn't stable enough when you and your friends are all playing at once, just ask :) But you'll need some files from the Megaton.
