which Build Engine game is the most brutal???
Between "Duke Nukem 3D", "BLOOD", and "Shadow Warrior", which of those 3 games is the most brutal?

For me, i'm gonna go with "Shadow Warrior", mainly because at the very end of the beginning mission, (Seppuku Station), you'll eventually meet with an invisible ninja who will instantly kill you with a flaming wall attack.

(NOTE: I re-played the entire "Seppuku Station" mission on the Medium Difficulty without the Invincibility cheat, and I actually got hit by the invisible ninja's flame-wall that should've killed me, but I somehow survived it. However, I managed to save the Red Armor in a nearby secret, and backtracked to bring my vitals back up to 200HP and 100-Armor.)

BLOOD.
Duke, easily.

probably if you play on the Damn-Im-Good Difficulty, then I can see it (especially since some of the enemies, particularly the Sentry Drones, often glitch through walls and floors

Shadow Warrior for sure.
I don't know if its because I played duke 69x more than the others, but I think its easier than the rest, but still pretty brutal. In SW and Blood, enemies have perfect accuracy, and in duke only a few of them do, specifically enforcers and battlelords, while most others use projectiles and can be easy to dodge. In Blood enemies have insane firepower too, every hit counts. Regarding level design, they're all hard enough for a new player to get really frustrated before episode 2 aside from the tough enemies.
These thoughts are all based on the second to last difficulty, my ideal difficulty.
None of them if it's the stupid Sgt.MarkIV defintion.

however Tekwar can be very hard.

It's not.
Because they do
They're still insanely accurate. If you literally have to hide behind a wall to not get hit, then it's perfect accuracy.

I know right. Dat battlelord can kill you in a sec even if you are full on ammo and health.
I haven't played blood a lot. But i can say that shadow warrior felt way harder than duke nukem 3d.

not to mention, you gotta plan your attacks ahead of time to avoid taking too much damage, let alone get killed
I must say Shadow Warrior because of same reason mentioned above: Shadow Ninjas that kill you in one hit, even with full health and armor (though I'm not certain if they can kill you instantly at 200 health and 100 armor).

It happened the same to me first time I played SW (a couple of weeks ago), when I bought a CD copy from eBay (I know there was free to play version on Steam but I choose to get a psychical copy because I'm a collector). I had 100 health and 50 armor and while I knew there was a shadow ninja in that station (from watching YouTube videos to get accomodated with the game), he somehow hid behind me and immediately killed me! Yes, in first level of game! I really hate when I get killed in first level of game!

I am now on beginning of level 7 and so far I survived levels 2,5 and 6 without dying. I know it doesn't really matter if you die or not but I found some of enemies really annoying because they do a huge amount of damage, where in Duke Nukem 3D only some of them do high amounts of damage.

I never played Blood though, so I can't judge this one. And yes, I know Mini Battlelord can kill you instantly at close range but at least Duke Nukem 3D is much easier to understand and apply strategy for each monster. However for me it's also nostalgia factor, in that I grew up with playing Duke Nukem 3D full version (the original 3 episodes version) when I was young and for me it's very easy to know which weapon to use against a certain monster and how to avoid their attacks. When I got later Atomic Edition and the expansion packs (I'm not talking about Megaton Edition), I also got easily familiarized with them, even though the nostalgia factor is not as high as the original version. On Shadow Warrior, I did get a bit familiarized since few days but for me it's still harder than Duke Nukem 3D.

So it just depends which game you played first.

that's why I mentioned in my original post, that the Shadow Ninja in "Seppuku Station" technically should've killed me in one-hit. but instead, all of my armor got drained and I only had 30HP left. but thankfully I backtracked to gather all available medpacks, fortune cookies, and the Red Armor from a secret I had bypassed earlier. Not to mention, I used that training dummy at the starting room to boost my health to 200HP before leaving.
Powerslave...

I'm kidding :D
Shoutouts to NAM and WWII GI for recreating Rainbow Six AI difficulty, even though they're literally mods of Duke3D pushed out as shovelware courtesy of WizardWorks. There ain't a more difficult Build game than either of those.

Refresh my memory. Does DN3D or SW scale enemy HP with difficulty level? Blood does. That plus the sheer number of enemies on higher difficulty levels was kinda "brutal" sometimes.
