Can you play as the Germans?

I really enjoyed the film and was looking forward to the game but am unable to find any info on if it is possible to play as the N.a.z.i.s or not. Could a kind soul that owns the game please respond and let me know.

funny how the German folks here won't buy the game because you can't play as the German side. the "Germans" here are not just German, they are Nazis.

Nazis, as in evil people who happen to be German. i can understand wanting to represent your great country, but playing as Nazi's isn't really representing Germany.

undoubtedly every nation commits war crimes in times of war, but the group that went down in history as "the bad guys", by the vast majority of world opinion, were the nazis. so, my arguement is in fact valid, as my point was that playing as nazis would not represent, in any positive light, the german people.

but i can certainly understand wanting to fly the better ships. and you can, as stated in a post previous to mine, by purchasing the meteorblitzkrieg dlc. but they're still nazi scum.
