I really like this game. It took me almost 16 hours to get my first win, mostly because I was stubborn and trying to beat it on hard my first go. After you get a nack for what's important, and what can wait, upward momentum really kicks in. As some of the other reviews have said the randomness really makes it difficult to get "the build" which I can agree. I've really enjoyed my time playing it and am excited to see where the developers take it further.

Rougelike gameplay. A lot of grinding. On a positive note, the setting and the actual idea are fun.

Difficult seems to change and the last session where all about bad luck. Second enemy, rockets, hull break, you loose without any chance. After some more of these bad luck sessions, I´m done. Not enough to get through this pain.

In addition, achievements are not granted, like the symbiont one.

I would like to give a "neutral" rating. You can select a start character (which defines your start station/layout, perk etc). For my personal taste it is too much grinding to unlock the passive buffs. The price is fair to give it a try and support the developers. For me it lacks some depth and the AI of the units could be better a little bit. Often you have to micromanage them, because they repair healthy floor tiles (no floor breach) while another tile has a breach which sucks out the air.

I like the idea to have random events which give you bonuses, resourses or new crew members. Based on my personal view I would rather recommend to play FTL.
