New Chat

I think it is much, much, much better than the old chat! Since I haven't had much time to test it out, I can't go into much detail but... It was updating constantly instead of the usual 5 minute wait for a new message - not to mention you hit enter, type what you want to say and then hit enter again and you are all done! The switching between channels is also much better as well. This will greatly improve my clan's chatting and I am super excited about it.

Curious as to what everyone else thinks! Comment away, little hubbers.

Yep, gotta say, its fantastic. No idea what people complained for. I only wish messages lasted a bit longer, or the whole window was showing, but it faded away a bit when not used

Yeah, I haven't investigated it much but, as much as I hated the last chat, it would be cool if that were still an option so that if you were idling you could have the full chat window up. If it is still available, I just haven't figured out how to open it yet.

Either way, I am loving this new chat. My friends and I are actually communicating in game and not using Steam chat do contact each other. :)

And as people were saying in the chat, "Haters gonna hate.". XD

Im not sure if the old system is still in, but it would be nice to have.

Yeah. As much as I hated it, it was handing for when I was just standing around waiting for my salvage timers.

Not going to say I miss it, though. ;)

Okay, logged in for a bit to see... it's not bad, but it still needs work. First the box is kinda small, but that might be 'cause I run at a high screen res. Second it no longer switches you to the Team channel when you move into an instance like a Warmaster fight, which it used to do... other than that everything else is minor.

okay ... everyone here is talking about the fact that the new 'chat room' is so awesome ... yes of course, it looks nice ... but is there someone who has problems with it? ... since update 1.3 the chat/voice doesn't works ... no chat ... no voice ... I have absolutely no way of communicating in groups or zones or elsewhere ... I see only what other players write in my area ... I play with 'Logitech Rumble Pad 2' (pc/steam-game-version) ... I have repeatedly checked all the settings ... I can write a line in the chat but can not publish what I have written! ... absolutely no communication is possible ... I need help! ... thanks ...

I'm sorry you are having issues with it, and sadly I have no direct suggestions. The only thing I can say is to try emailing Trion support cause it could be an issue on their end that they need to fix for you. Personally I have had no issues with the chat, though sometimes it seems to lag when I type ad m sntces cme ut ike his. Hehe

Also, I hate suggesting doing reinstalls just because it takes so long to see whether or not you got it fixed and usually it doesn't. But it might be worth trying in this instance as something might not have downloaded/patched right for you.

yep ... thanks ... that's what I thought too ... next step is contact Trion Support ... and maybe I have to reinstall or something like that ... you're right ... that is the last and the most annoying step ... ♥♥♥♥ happens ... well ... if there is a problem outside my installation or what ever I will post the result here ... maybe there is someone out there with similar problems ...

Definitely! Whenever I have a problem with one of my games, I always browse the hubs in case other people have had similar issues. I really do hope it gets sorted out!

To date I have not received any message from the support.
Maybe my request has gone down. With a couple of other points I would like to address in the near future again to the support.
BUT ... the issue with the chat / voice has taken a positive turn!
After various tests, drivers were already up to date, and a tip from a friend I have something curious found.
In the in-game chat settings (I'm on European Server) for various areas / groups / clan, etc. you will find settings for 'Stimme an' and 'Chat an' (in engl. maybe 'voice on' and 'chat on'). This does not have set as before 'An' ('on'), but 'Aus' ('off')! That's messed up, but it works!
That's still mysterious, isn't it?
Well ... it works again ... lol ... happy ... slainte ...
